2010 World Kidney Day

Kidney Health New Zealand and staff from Auckland DHB Renal Unit had a stand at Pasifika 2010 in Auckland where more than 200,000 people attended.  Staff were kept busy taking blood pressures and raising awareness to one of our high risk groups.

The Renal Nurses Conference was held the weekend of 4-6 September 09

in Auckland at the Heritage Hotel. 40 Senior Renal Nurses from throughout NZ attended the Annual Conference run by Kidney Health New Zealand's Education Manager, Carmel Gregan-Ford

Nick Polaschek, Senior Project Manager from the Ministry of Health talked about the National Renal Service Project currently underway



Judith Dee, Diabetes Nurse Specialist from Counties Manukau DHB talked about Diabetes and Kidney Disease and managing the growing problem.
